In 2015, Yamaha presented the Sports Ride two-seater (photo) at the Tokyo show. The motorcycle brand is about to repeat the experience with a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show (October 27 – November 5). It could be an upgraded version of the Sports Ride, to a pre-production prototype of the ultralight coupe designed on Gordon Murray’s iStream modular carbon fiber architecture.
Yamaha will be present at the Tokyo show at the end of the month, but the Japanese manufacturer will not only show motorcycles. As in 2015, a concept car will be on display at its stand. No information has yet been disclosed about its nature or design.
Two years ago, Yamaha unveiled the Sports Ride concept (photo), a small two-seater coupe, which some rumors announce the start of production in 2018. The vehicle of this year could be a new iteration of this prototype, closer to Series.
