The Tesla Model S will be declined in a new version which, rather, an evolution, as has just confirmed the US manufacturer of specialist sports electric vehicle via a press release. The Tesla Model S60 is its name, will use the makeover to afford a small price decrease for less saving, the latter allowing, indeed, save about 6,000 euros compared to the previous model.
Tesla S60 thus has a 60 kWh battery that offers according to the manufacturer a range of about 400 km, with performances always alluring, including a 0 to 100 km / h achieved in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 210 km / h, all through an electric motor of 315 hp. Of course, despite his side “entry”, the Tesla S60 retains the “made in Tesla” technologies including active safety or the autopilot (optional).
Finally, in practice, only two models of Tesla are produced by the manufacturer: the first ship a battery of 75 kWh and seconds, a battery of 90 kWh. A change of strategy needed to prepare for the arrival of cheaper models still that will require enormous resources, both in the assembly plants at the level of the components needed to provide the batteries.
Smaller than the radical P90D charged 119,000 euros (deducted bonus), the Tesla Model S’s performance is worthy of a GTi. The 0 to 100 km / h run in just 5.8 seconds (5.4 s to 60D), the power reaches 325 hp and top speed is electronically limited to 210 km / h. To recall, the Model S 70 is marketed in France from 80 400 euros.
