Fiat finished last with only slightly more than half of the respondents saying they were satisfied with their purchase. Nissan, Infiniti and Acura follow with only 58%.
Hyundai and Lincoln improved greatly this year as the Korean manufacturer moved from 24th position to 13th while Lincoln jumped from 21st position to 12th. In return, BMW moved from 6th to 14th while Volkswagen moved from 16th to 24th.
Porsche finished second with an 84% satisfaction rating. The German manufacturer is followed by Audi with 77% while Subaru and Toyota complete the top 5 with a score of 76%.
To determine its ranking, Consumer Reports asked the owners of a particular brand whether they would buy the same vehicle in the future. An average of the responses for each vehicle of the same brand is then calculated.
