Tata Motors has finally launched the Tata Tiago small hatchback in India at a price of INR 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Tata has been on an image makeover in the Indian market with a launch of many new cars under its HorizonNext and Impact Design Philosophy. The Tata Tiago is one such offering from the Indian automotive giant, in the small car segment. The car is priced at INR 4.75 lakh and INR 5.54 lakh for top-end trim of petrol and diesel variants respectively.
On comparing the top-end variants, the Tiago has yet again managed to claim the position of the least priced model. Priced at Rs 5.54 lakh, the Tiago is cheaper than the Celerio by Rs 36,000. The Beat is again the costliest and is priced at Rs 6.38 lakh and is followed by the Grand i10 at Rs 6.04 lakh.
It will be available in petrol and diesel variants with two new engines — Revotron 1.2L (petrol engine) and Revotorq 1.05L (diesel engine). It comes with class leading fuel efficiency of 23.84 km/l on Revotron 1.2L petrol and 27.28 km/l on Revotorq 1.05L diesel (as per Automotive Research Association of India certification), under test conditions.
