The Nexon is reportedly getting ready for a launch in August although the carmaker is yet to make an official announcement. However, emerging reports suggest a launch in August. Tata is expected to begin the dispatch of the Nexon to its dealers across the country soon. The dealers are already accepting the bookings for the Nexon for a down payment of Rs 11,000. The Nexon could be priced in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
The front-end of the Tata Nexon is pleasant to look at –there is a hidden happiness in that smiley face grille, with a bold chrome strip running under it all the way around the headlamps. The headlamps on the XZ+ variant (the top-end version) of the Tata Nexon are twin-beam, projector units with LED daytime running lamps.
Yes, quality control could’ve been slightly better and the petrol motor could’ve been a notch more responsive. That said, neither of these are reasons to rule the Nexon out completely. At an expected price tag of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, it does spell trouble for the contenders in the sub-4-metre SUV space.
