Suzuki claims its new diesel-powered Vitara sips only 4.9L/100km, an improvement over the turbocharged petrol variant’s claimed 6.2L/100km.
Priced from $35,990 plus on-road costs, the new SUV sits atop the current range, surpassing the just released turbo petrol S variant.
Suzuki is boasting excellent fuel economy for the diesel Vitara getting down as low as 4.9L/100km.
The Vitara RT-X diesel is rounded out by 17” alloy wheels, leather and suede seats, LED daytime running lights, Apple Carplay and a unique dual panoramic sunroof.

The Hungary-built Suzuki Vitara is the company’s second-biggest selling model this year in Australia with 1538 units, compared to the Swift at 3246. It has a market share in its Small SUV segment of almost 5 per cent.
