Several weeks after the reveal of the refreshed 2016 BRZ, Subaru has now unveiled the limited-run BRZ Series Yellow. Billed as a 2017 model year, the one-off coupe gets a distinct yellow hue, along with performance add-ons and extra equipment.
Starting off with the exterior, the limited edition BRZ gets a Brilliant Yellow finish that is accented by blacked-out peripherals. These include the power folding side mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels and nameplate badgings.
The Series.Yellow BRZ is based on the Limited trim level with the Performance Package, which means it gains Brembo rotors on the front and rear, four-piston Brembo calipers up front, two-piston Brembo calipers out back, and SACHS Performance shock absorbers. Because this limited-edition BRZ comes with a six-speed manual transmission, it also gets the upgraded 2.0-liter boxer engine that cranks out 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque.
For exterior updates, the 2017 Subaru Series.Yellow has an improved aerodynamic design, upgraded LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights. Interior updates include driver information display which provides vehicle performance access to lateral Gs, braking force, oil/water temperature, steering angle, accelerator pedal position, integrated stop watch and battery voltage.
The 2017 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow will arrive on dealer lots in 2017. Production will be limited to just 500 examples, but pricing information hasn’t been announced yet.
