It is done ! Subaru finally formalizes the arrival of an STI model, as we were recently aware with these shots of a prototype that was walking on the American roads by sporting a fixed rear spoiler. This one already foreshadowed a more spicy version of the sympathetic Japanese coupe, but this time the confirmation is there and comes straight from the Twitter account of Subaru USA.
Indeed, this one unveils a trunk of BRZ on which is placed a huge flap labeled STi. The photo is accompanied by a caption indicating the date of June 6th. So there is only six days to wait before discovering the one that will probably take the name of BRZ STi.
There is an exaggerated rear wing, flocked with the letters “STI”. Subaru is also taking the opportunity to announce the launch date for this new model. To be able to appreciate it in its entirety, appointment is therefore fixed to June 8 next.
