The SsangYong Motorsport team will have an exclusive technical and assistance team and will have a 6 × 6 truck, two T5 assistance cars, a team leader, an engineer, four mechanics and a logistics officer in order to ensure the best coverage during the entire test.
SsangYong presented yesterday in Madrid the new Tivoli DKR, with which the Ssangyong Motorsport team will participate in the 2018 edition of the Dakar that celebrates its fortieth and tenth edition in Latin America. The race, which begins on January 6 in Lima and ends in Cordoba on January 20, will cross Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, covering 14 stages with more than 5,000 kilometers of selective sectors, as well as 4,500 kilometers of links. Note that this year’s edition returns to the Pacific Ocean, particularly to the dunes of Peru, which will be protagonists of the first 7 stages.
The Tivoli DKR has been developed and designed in Spain with the advice of the SsangYong engineering department.
