Now, the price is fairly right considering the fact that the upcoming Skoda Octavia RS will be coming to India via the CBU route. In fact, we even spoke to some of the Skoda dealers, who also claimed that the car will come with an on-road price of ₹ 34-35 lakh, depending on state taxes.
The 2017 Octavia RS will be available in two engine based variants— a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine and two transmission based variants — 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DSG unit.
The 2.0-litre TSI mill in the Octavia RS can propel the car from 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250kmph. That makes the Octavia RS the fastest sedan from Skoda.
The cabin of the Octavia RS is expected to feature a 9.2-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity options. It will come with black leather seats with contrast red stitching, ambient lighting system along with safety features such as nine airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and park-assist like rear parking sensors and an auto-parking system.
