“We are delighted to announce that we will launch our premium feature loaded Renault Captur in India this year, which has delivered global success and is widely acclaimed for its stunning expressive design,” said Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations.
Renault will manufacture the Captur at its Chennai facility and it is expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. When launched, the crossover will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, which is the best seller in its segment.
The petrol as well as diesel variants to have 1.5 litre engine. Full LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto and Apple Car Play are among other features.
It will compete with likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Jeep Compass.
