The large SUV Peugeot will then be tested in the first gasoline version, the 5008 1.2 PureTech 130 hp, which brings talent to the little brother 3008. Available in manual or automatic transmission EAT6, this three-cylinder is the smallest petrol engine available, and Place under the four-cylinder 165 hp.
This is the Peugeot 5008 ready to face an established or future competition, like the experienced Nissan X-Trail, the recent Skoda Kodiaq or the future Renault Koleos. At the last Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris, L’argus had been able to compare the Peugeot 5008 with its competitors in static.
If the Peugeot 3008 has evolved a lot for its 2nd generation, the Peugeot 5008 undergoes a complete transformation: from large MPV, it becomes a family SUV, still able to accommodate seven passengers on board.
Compared to the 3008, the price difference is limited to € 500 on the Access finish but climbs to € 2,100 on the 5008 GT Line and GT. The latter, equipped with the BlueHDi 180 EAT6, thus reaches 43 750 € … It remains to be seen if the 5008 knows how to justify this tariff, during our impending tests!
