Derived from the now “legendary” MQB platform, the Golf, A3, Leon and many other models of the Group, the SEAT Ateca takes its name from a small town near Zaragoza, and is the baptism of the Spanish brand in the SUV world, fundamental step remain competitive on the European market.
As also stated by Luca De Meo, President of SEAT S.A., the new Ateca will (or at least should be) “the third pillar of the brand” after Ibiza and Leon. In a market, the European one, where the segment B and C-SUV is growing day by day, Ateca must prove that you have what it takes to be able to play a leading role.
Prices obviously vary depending on the equipment you choose and also the engine that want to buy and that will adapt to your needs. Seat Ateca starts at 20,850 Euros for the 1.0 EcoTSI Reference trim and goes up to € 35,500 for the 2.0 TDI 190 hp 4Drive DSG.
During our brief first contact test we detected an average consumer (since the trip computer) equal to 7.3 l / 100 km. Traffic in Barcelona instead we had peaks of 10.5 l / 100 km. Normal values for a 1.5 ton SUV with automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and 190 hp.
