After restyling operated last year on its rivals BMW 1 Series and Mercedes Class A, it was time for the Audi A3 to benefit from a major upgrade. As always with the mark on the rings, it is not obvious at first. Externally, the new lenses is mostly noted on the front, which by their design, strongly reminiscent of the recent A4. The grille is also changing, with more beveled upper corners before which even closer most of a hexagon.
Beyond the mere aesthetic makeover, Audi also wanted to revisit the range of engines for its new A3, and for example we note the arrival of three cylinder block entry 1.0 TFSI 115 hp. Exit the 1.8L block, replaced by a new 2.0 TFSI 190 hp. No revolution diesel side, there are the block 1.6L TDI 110 PS and 2.0 TDI 150/190 hp. Regarding the sporting version S3, it climbs from 300 to 310 hp.
At first glance, almost nothing changes in the interior of the A3. That is logical, the dashboard did not need to be dusted. But one detail stands out: under the instrument cap, there is indeed new. The A3 facelift can indeed be equipped with the now famous Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch screen that allows you to set the display to envy.
The sporty S3 wins, she, ch 10 to a total of 310 hp. However, the diesel range still consists of the 1.6 TDI 110 and 2.0 TDI available in 150 and 184 hp, while the rechargeable hybrid A3 e-Tron maintains its 204 hp combined.
