BMW has explained that the testing procedure of the 2018 X3 was done just 56 kilometers (34.7 miles) South of the Polar Circle, which is a cold place. There’s a small town over there, and it is called Arjeplog. An abundance of snow characterizes it, and temperatures are low enough to make a popsicle impossible to enjoy.
These winter trials were held around the small town of Arjeplog, just 56 km (34.8 miles) south of the polar circle, where temperatures often drop to minus 20 degrees, causing the lakes in the surrounding area to freeze over.
Some new spy photos also reveal that BMW is putting a revamped i3 to the tests. Even though the automaker is doing an excellent job when it comes to covering their test vehicles and prototypes, it appears that the new i3 will come with a customized front bumper. Expect also to see a sporty i3 within the lineup, which will have more power and improved suspension.
It’s believed the refresh could increase the hybrid system’s power output to around 310kW.
Little else is known about the i8 roadster, or when BMW plans to officially reveal it. In the meantime, stay tuned to CarAdvice for more updates.
