His presentation is imminent, and God knows if it is awaited. The Mercedes-AMG Project One will make its first appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show (from 12 September), in the form of a copy close to the final model. Less than two weeks from D-Day, the German manufacturer has just unveiled a new image of the front of its hypercar.
Up to now we had only two clues about his style, first a sketch of the profile and then a rear view, letting us see an imposing air inlet located on the roof, echoing the origin of his engine block.
The new “holy trinity” (composed today of the McLaren P1, the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder), will be produced at 300 units and will embark a technology directly inspired by that equipping the Formula 1 car from the manufacturer to the star.
Remember that the Project One – which Mercedes designates as a “supersports car” – will have for main rival the Aston Martin Valkyrie, a cousin of some sort.
