Priced from INR 5.15 lakh to INR 8.33 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi, Maruti Baleno is the second best-selling car in the segment. Till date, over 1 lkah bookings have been received by NEXA, the new-age dealerships from Maruti Suzuki.
Under the hood, Maruti Baleno includes 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. While the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine is tuned to develop 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel mill churns out 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission and the petrol engine is also available with CVT automatic gearbox.
Maruti sells the Baleno through its NEXA dealership network. Since the launch of the car, over 44,000 units have been sold. The company has an additional 55,000 bookings to serve. Maruti Suzuki plans to export the Baleno to more than 100 countries from India. It is also the first model by Maruti Suzuki to be exported to Japan.
The Baleno, which is built on a new generation platform developed by Suzuki Motor Corp, is already Maruti’s most exported car in the month of February.
