Leading utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) launched the more affordable, automatic transmission-equipped XUV500 SUV on Monday, May 9. The six-speed automatic transmission is now available with entry-level W6 FWD variant and it has been priced at Rs. 14.29 lakh, ex-showroom Navi Mumbai. The XUV500 with automatic transmission had earlier been reserved for the top-spec W8 FWD, W10 FWD, W10 AWD variants which are priced in the range of Rs. 15.87 lakh to Rs. 17.80 lakh, ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai.
The Automatic Transmission of the New Age XUV500 has resonated very well with our customers since we launched it in November 2015,” said Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, M&M. “I am sure that the availability of the Automatic Transmission across variants and a range of price points will now render this technology more accessible to a larger base of customers and make the XUV500 a more attractive proposition amongst a wide spectrum of buyers.”
