The Lexus LS 500h en route to Geneva

The new Lexus LS will make its first European at the Geneva 2017 show. For the occasion, the Japanese manufacturer will unveil its limousine in its version with hybrid engine. For the time being, the manufacturer has not revealed the characteristics of this LS 500h. But it’s a safe bet that it will resume the same powertrain as the coupe LC 500h.

At the moment, Lexus is still silent on the technical characteristics of its new LS 500h hybrid. Even if one can imagine that under the hood, you will find the mechanics of the coupe LC 500h with the bi-turbo V6 of 3.5 liters of 295 horses, coupled to an electric motor, reaching 354 horses.

Under the hood of this four-door long 5.24 m, one will find therefore an atmospheric V6 3.5 Atkinson cycle of 295 hp, associated with an electric motor. With a cumulative power of 354 hp, this LS 500h will be a little less efficient than the LS 600h it replaces: the latter used a V8 and it reached a total of 445 hp. But the declining weight promises accelerations and revivals already muscular, as well as a sobriety in progress.
