The new gen Verna boasts a whole list of all-new features. Firstly, the new gen Verna in based on Hyundai’s all-new K2 platform and Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) body structure including hot stamping applications that enables the sedan to deliver performance and safety ensuring best-in-class body rigidity.
The car will also get an electric sunroof. On the exteriors, Hyundai Verna gets a dynamic design language very similar to what we have already seen on Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Tucson. It features a cascade design front grille, projector headlamps and fog lamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps.
In terms of matching the rivals, Hyundai has given this car a 7.0-inch touchscreen system with a mobile app, climate control, reverse camera with sensors, rear AC vents, rear central arm rest with cup holders, a 12 volt socket and 2 USB fast charging points. In addition there are 1.0-litre bottle holders in all the door pockets as well as a cooled glove box.
With competition like the Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz outselling the current gen by almost 10 times and even the likes of the Skoda Rapid selling more units every month as compared to the Verna, the launch of the 2017 Hyundai Verna will bring a much needed push to Hyundai in this sedan segment.
