I can’t believe I’m saying that. I can’t believe Honda has sunk this low. Six years ago it was making cars and television commercials that made you dizzy with desire. And now it’s making cars with engines that turn a lot of fuel into nothing at all.
Honda used to ask in its commercials: “Isn’t it nice when things just work?” To which the answer is: “Yes. It was.”
Founder Anthony Crawford even took it home for a few nights (he usually prefers the sportier or more luxurious cars we have through the garage!), and he said the drivetrain was “surprisingly peppy”, and that he thought it was a “great little car, perfect for the city”.
Honda did not provide a timetable for when, or if, the NeuV will be sold to consumers. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
