Honda, the Japanese automaker will launch the much-awaited Honda BR-V compact SUV in the Indian car market on May 5, 2016. Ahead of its launch, the official engine specifications and mileage of the BR-V has been revealed. Bookings for the compact SUV have already commenced at a token amount of INR 21,000.
Inside the cabin you can expect to see steering mounted controls, premium seats and upholstery, and automatic climate control. Honda boasts about offering class-leading cabin space with more headroom and knee room for occupants. In terms of safety, the BR-V will come loaded with dual SRS airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HAS).
Honda recently launched the facelift of the Amaze and we saw the car get some fresh interiors, but beside that there weren’t any mechanical changes to the car. With the BR-V, though Honda is targeting a whole new segment that Honda has never entered in India and with the competition already on the rise in the compact SUV segment, the BR-V will have to deal with rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and even to an extent the Toyota Innova.
