Tata Nexon, the next generation subcompact SUV from Tata, has been showcased at the Geneva Auto Show recently. The new subcompact SUV, which will be introduced in India by the second half of this year, is expected to redefine the segment by storm when it launches and it is expected that the Nexon will also revive the passenger car-fortune of Tata Motors. Given below are five important points that you must know about the upcoming car.
The Nexon is one of Tata’s most important vehicle which, along with Tiago and Tigor, could help boost their market share.
Guenter Butschek, CEO and MD, Tata Motors was recently quoted saying that the company plans to launch the Nexon in India two weeks before the festival of Diwali in 2017. This hints at a possible launch date in the first week of October this year.
With the car almost production ready, we think a launch might be in the offing. April might be a good time for Tata to launch the Nexon, right after the Tigor at the end of March, to make sure that customers who walk in to Tata dealerships might have more options to choose from. But then, we might be a little too excited to see the production-ready car and the launch might actually be scheduled for the next quarter.
