Those changes include the new SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Three new paint colours are also being added; Lightning Blue, Grabber Blue and White Platinum Tri-Coat.
Both 2017MY Mustang EcoBoost and GT models will be loaded with SYNC 3, which features Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Ford Applink 3.0. This is something I complained about in my Mustang review, so its great to see Ford respond and make moves and commit to deliver SYNC 3. It is not yet confirmed if existing owners will recieve an upgrade from SYNC2 to SYNC 3 once it ships to Australia.
Sales have already exceeded the 3,500 mark and after a day in the company of the Mustang line-up I can fully understand why. After all, there are very few cars that feature such drop-dead-gorgeous styling at such a reasonable price.
The success of Mustang coincides with a strong start to the year for Ford Australia, with sales up 17.2 per cent on the same time last year. The Ranger 4X4 has 19 per cent of the market compared to the Toyota Hilux 4X4 on 18.5 per cent, while the Ford Kuga is up 51 per cent year-on-year, and Mondeo sales are up 427.9 per cent thanks to decent supply.
