The designers lowered the hood by about 20 millimeters compared to the current model to look slimmer and more athletic. It also has an updated grill, a front façade and new headlights.
Customers can choose from a dozen designs and colors, with three new colors, including a bright tone called, “Orange Fury”.
It will no longer come with the 3.7-liter V-6 engine, which according to the company accounts for about 15 percent of sales, so it will bring the 2.3-liter EcoBoost and the 5.0-liter V8.
The 5.0-liter V8 engine will continue, but it underwent a thorough overhaul through which it was possible to increase power and reduce fuel consumption with a new direct dual injection of high pressure. Exact data regarding the new performance regime offered by this engine is not yet known.
Both the EcoBoost 2.3 engine and the 5.0-liter V8 will be offered coupled to a new 10-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift control and a obviously shorter gear ratio in favor of maximum engine utilization.
