It is very clear that India is one of the very few markets where car sales are still booming and most of the growth is coming in from the entry-level segment. To tap such a lucrative market is every manufacturer’s dream and group company Renault did it with the Kwid a few months back. The success of the Kwid is testimony to the fact that India still craves for cheap and cheerful motors. So to tap into this segment Datsun is all set to launch the redi-GO.
The Datsun Redi-GO was first unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo and also showcased in an almost production ready avatar at the recent Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Datsun, the small car division of Nissan, is all geared up for the launch of the Redi-Go small car in India on June 7.
The baby Datsun has its work cut out as it will lock horns with the bestselling car in India, the Alto 800. Maruti recently updated their number muncher to take on fresh blood such as the Kwid and the redi-GO. On paper, it has a lot to offer to the first-time car buyer. It is reasonably spacious, is easy to drive and offers really good fuel economy. Whether it goes on to repeat the success story of the Kwid remains to be seen.
The Japanese Automobile manufacturer Datsun has launched a new model of small cars. The Datsun Red- Go car price is not revealed till date. But there is an expectation among the industry that the car may be tagged with the price in between Rs. 2.39 lakhs to Rs. 3.50 lakhs.
The redi-Go, which will be pitted against Maruti Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Renault Kwid in India, will get a price tag of Rs. 2.39 lakh for the base variant.
