Chevrolet is offering two aero packs for the Corvette ZR1: one includes a standard rear wing while the second one brings a two-way adjustable rear wing favoring quick lap times on the track. Both wings are tied directly to the chassis like it’s the case with the C7.R race car.
Having a Chevrolet ZR1 Convertible at your disposal likely means that it’s going to gain a few pounds over the regular one, but that shouldn’t really affect the still-to-be-announced 0-60mph (96km/h) acceleration. For what it’s worth, the coupe’s top speed stands at over 210mph (338km/h).
The coupe has a top speed of 212 mph, and the convertible also exceeds 200 mph. Preliminary testing by Chevy has the ZR1 doing 0–60 mph in less than 3.0 seconds, and the quarter mile is in the “high 10-second range” with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Other ZR1 bits will be familiar to Z06 buyers, including a sumptuous interior and available 7-speed manual and quick-shifting 8-speed automatic. Chevy estimates the automatic-equipped Supervette will hit 60 mph below 3 seconds, and the quarter-mile in the high 10-second range.
