The test cars of the BMW 7 Series will be equipped with the latest technology from Intel and Mobileye and testing will be initially conducted in the United States and Europe, said the three companies present at the CES Consumer electronics in Las Vegas.

Last July, BMW partnered with US semiconductor specialist Intel and Israeli mobileye (which owns 70% of the anti-collision system market) to develop a stand-alone vehicle platform (ranging from levels 3 To 5) which could be deployed on the entire BMW range but also be offered to other manufacturers or equipment manufacturers.

Indeed, the German manufacturer is expected to release about forty independent cars on our roads, as of the second half of 2017. According to this release, the three companies will make their discoveries available to other manufacturers.
