The same manufacturer announced nearly 400 km with the range extender. In actual use, however, this autonomy would be closer to 200 km (330 km with the range extender).
Thanks to an important work on the design of the battery in collaboration with Samsung, this new battery associated with a new battery takes no more space than the old and could be installed on current i3.
BMW is announcing the arrival this summer of a new version of li3, displaying a range 50% higher than the current normal cycle. Autonomy announced in NEDC cycle is increased to 300 km and can even reach nearly 400 km with the range extender. Note that it (always a two-cylinder 650 cm3 engine) will be now available with version features the new battery, the i3 “standard” residing in the catalog.
