Like its predecessor in the Aston range, DB9, the recent DB11 will have its Volante declination, that is to say cabriolet.
The British manufacturer has formalized the new publishing this weekend by posting late last week on Facebook three shots of a prototype of this DB11 Volante announcing its release in spring 2018.
The future Aston Martin DB11 Volante does not denature the (sublime) general style of the coupe version. Some additional body parts on the prototype to prevent a complete picture of his line, but we note that the characteristic details like the rear lights C and side vents have been preserved.
Mechanically, the new DB11 Volante will ship under the bonnet the same 5.2-liter V12 biturbo unit which already equips the coupe, and which still should be associated automatic transmission ZF 8-speed. With an output of 608 hp and 700 Nm, the roadster should décoiffer although its performance will probably slightly down compared to the coupe which posted 322 km / h top speed, and a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 3.9 seconds.
The British roadster, as stated clearly on the proposed pictures, is not expected concessions before spring 2018.
