James Bond movies haven’t been very memorable since Austin Powers forced the franchise to evolve into generic action flicks, but I bet you remembered the Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre when you saw today’s new Vantage unveiling.
As with the V8 version of the DB11, firepower comes from a 510 hp incarnation of the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with the unit delivering 505 lb-ft of twist in this application (make that 513 lb-ft for the DB11).
Aston Martin also aims to enter a race on the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar calendar with the Vantage GTE by 2019, competing against some of its biggest rivals in Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche.
New looks, a new engine, and much more standard equipment merit an increase in price. When the first models become available in the second quarter of 2018, they will start at $149,995.
