The 6 is the sedan (and wagon) flagship of Mazda’s passenger car line-up. Hiroshima’s latest model is the third since the last full redesign in 2012, and features new technology, styling and a new turbocharged petrol engine.
Aside from the new turbo engine, the 2018 Mazda6 will be “thoroughly re-engineered”, according to Mazda. For the body design it will showcase a “Mature Elegance” philosophy, with improved quality feel for the interior and exterior. A new Japanese Sen Wood trimming option is also being introduced.
Exterior and interior quality have been lifted, with the latter now featuring ‘Sen Wood’, a material normally used in traditional Japanese instruments and furniture.
The all-new Mazda6 will be shown in the metal from December 1 – 10 at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
