Widmann pointed to three key things that came down from the GT350: MagneRide, the Michelin PS4 tire and the active exhaust, which has three settings, including quiet mode for driving through the neighbourhood late at night or early in the morning. It also has normal and sport mode.

The new Mustang features a more athletic and more modern exterior design that includes a lower, remodeled hood and grille for a meaner, leaner look, and a new front splitter for improved handling and improved fuel economy.

Expedition went on a diet of aluminum and lost 150 kilograms, despite adding several new features — including a 10-speed transmission, panoramic sun roof, power third-row folding seats and a bunch more legroom, even in the third row.

In more than fifty-three years of continuous production, one thing absolutely hasn’t changed: the Ford Mustang pony car retains an astonishingly good thrills-per-dollar-bills ratio, perhaps now more than ever. Even as it grows bigger, more comfortable, and more refined, the spirit of the Mustang can’t be tamed.
