With the redesign, there’s ample legroom and headroom for the passengers which at the same time didn’t compromise on cargo storage space. The funky shapes associated with Subaru for a long time is no longer spotted in the 2017 edition. The automobile brand strongly believes that these drastic changes will allow them to increase their market share and convince buyers to go for the car. The new edition is powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder model. The only setback is that there is no word on introducing a turbocharged engine at the moment but we can say that the brand may introduce it as a later stage.

The car also will have to lure in buyers on the premium end of the segment without offering them a premium engine. Unlike the Civic, Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra and Volkswagen Jetta, the Impreza is available with just a single engine: a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder — no optional turbocharged engine is available.

Subaru gets kudos for the Forester SUV being their top-ten model for the longest ownership, and they are one of the top three brands for their entire vehicle lineup being kept by their owners the longest.

The 2017 Subaru Impreza doesn’t bring many changes to its already reliable 2.0-liter engine. It has 152 horsepower and 148 foot-pounds of torque. Finally, fuel economy has also been improved to 28 miles per gallon in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
