Dual-cab 4×4 payloads range from 941kg for auto ST-X models to 1147kg for manual RX models. Braked towing remains at 3,500kg.
This is a much-needed upgrade, as the NP300’s suspension was a bit disappointing.
There was a lot riding on the NP300’s 2015 arrival.
In a year that saw most of the major players launch a new dual cab workhorse, the Nissan stood apart with its much touted coil-sprung rear end.
But when Nissan asked customers, sales staff, journalists and its own engineers about the machine’s divisive rear suspension arrangement, it learned the model fell short of what some people expect from a work-ready ute.
Other changes in the model range include sunroof option for ST-X, sat-nav as standard on ST and a choice of either manual or automatic transmission for RX cab chassis. However dual cab models no longer get rear fold-out cup holders.
